I stopped by Taz on a weekday evening with some friends, and it was very empty, so we were seated right away. Our server was very attentive throughout the meal, and the restaurant was clean. I ordered palak paneer and my partner got chicken tikka masala, everyone in our group loved their dishes! My palak paneer was especially impressive! It’s a fairly simple dish that I feel sometimes gets overlooked, but this version was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. The naan was also yummy, and I appreciated that you can customize spice levels. I was a little disappointed to learn that the buffet is only available at lunch, but honestly, the quality of the food was so good that I’d happily come back no matter what time of day!

So I witnessed something very disturbing. I visited near their closing time for lunch buffet, so there was no one except for me in the restaurant. But, a group of two Indian men came. They were friends of the staff. I went to refill my food from the buffet, but the two men began picking food like nan and fried food with their BARE hands (no plastic gloves). The craziest part is that they picked them up and put them back down. The two men did this, WHILE I was standing right behind them, and the server saw what they were doing, but he did not stop or warn the two men. Also, the chef came out from the kitchen and joined them in their table, so the two men were friends with the staff of the restaurant. This experience was the most disgusting thing I've ever come across in a restaurant, and I felt sick having seen that. If the employee did not stop the two men from messing with food like that in buffet, I can only imagine what is going on inside the kitchen and how employees handle food. This is crazy because they have the cleanest restroom, and everything else about the place looked really clean and great. Food was also tasty. Great hole in the wall Indian resturant. $20 for all you can eat buffet. Every dish in the buffet is full of flavour. Fat guy approval. Great meat and veggitiarian dishes. Didn't even know I liked cauliflower curry until I tried it here. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Amazing food I usually go to Indian cuisine restaurants at Houston and friend from India. And this is a Waco gem . Sai was so nice he makes sure we were taking care handle the food with care and explaining dishes with excellent customer service. They also have lunch buffet. I highly recommend and for sure will be back.

Such an enchanting place with wonderful lunch buffet. The food was amazing, the service was fast and friendly. The mango lassi was delicious (more tart than sweet) and the masala (though a little more spicy than my children would like) was one of the best I have ever had! My husband and I will be back - a new favorite in Waco for us!!
